GSES
Global sustainable enterprise system – meta standard that unifies every sustainability standard in the world
Global Sustainable Enterprise System is a worldwide accepted international standard to holistically measure company sustainability performance. GSES standards are cross-sectoral and fits to any business.

The Standard is based on GRI and ISO High Level Structure and in compliance with UN Global Compact, OECD Guidelines and the Responsible Business Alliance. They are open source and managed by a wide international range of experts, stakeholders from diverse industries, led by the National Sustainability Institute of the Netherlands.

2 certification standards

Standard include 6 pillars: corporate social responsibility, sustainable procurement, health & safety, CO2 reduction, circular economy, bio diversity. The company can apply for assessment of each pillar separately.


The Sustainable Footprint Standard is the product certification standard. It consists of 3 pillars: the Circular Footprint, the Environmental Footprint (EF) and the Health Footprint (HF). These three topics give a complete picture of the sustainability performance of a product, the production process and the supply chain.

Registration
UCSL manager will send you the link to GSES platform for registration

Metastandard verification
Upload certificates you already have for preliminary assessment

Online assessment
Become full member of GSES and fill in the forms for online assessment.

On-site audit
When you are ready, apply for on-site audit via platform.

Report
After on-site audit we prepare the report and calculate your GSES rating. To pass the assessment it shall higher than 50 points.

Certificate
If you successfully passed the assessment, you will get the GSES certificate. Your ESG rating will be updated and published at GSES platform as well.

Product registration
Inserting your product credentials or upload your LCA at the GSES platform. Then your data will be checked and unverified product rating will be published.

Choose your pillars
Choose which pillars you want to improve: circular footprint, environmental footprint , health footprint.

Upload evidence
Upload your evidence in your virtual vault on the GSES platform.

Verify your claims
Request product verification by independent auditor. We will check your product data and prepare the report. To pass the assessment the pillar rating shall be higher than 50 points.

Certificate
If you successfully passed the assessment, you will get the GSES certificate. Rating card of your product will be updated and published at GSES database as well.
