The MSC has announced the launch of its Fisheries Training Webpage and Chain of Custody (CoC) Training Webpage, which are now available on the MSC website.
The online training modules are designed for certificate holders, stakeholders, and anyone interested in understanding the MSC Fisheries and Chain of Custody Standards, processes, and requirements.
The training modules provide:
For the Fisheries Standard: Insight into its different parts and versions, and an understanding of how the fisheries assessment process works.
For the Chain of Custody Standard: Insight into the CoC Standard, its versions, and how the audit process works.
This training is free and open to everyone (less technical). To gain access, you need to fill out a request form. Since no exam is included in this course, certificates of completion are not issued.
However, certificate holders can download a letter of recognition at the end of the Chain of Custody (CoC) modules to demonstrate training compliance.
Please note that the training is currently available in English, but the MSC aims to expand its language offering soon.
